Triage user support tickets. Often includes explaining and walking users through self-service menus to enable them to perform some helpdesk operations on their own.

Collaborate with developers and Maintenance and Operations team members to resolve issues and update internal documentation and troubleshooting procedures.

Work with application teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues with single-sign on protocols or accounts within the MiLogin platform.

Single-Sign On and Identity Federation

Configure SSO protocols (SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect) for applications onboarding to the MiLogin platform using an Identity suite comprised of several IBM authentication and authorization appliances.

Advise and consult with application teams on how to implement and configure SSO and federation capabilities.

Gather and analyze trace/log files from reverse proxies to troubleshoot federations and authorization decisions.

MiLogin System Security Plan (SSP)

Navigate and operate within the Navex Keylight security accreditation tool.

Work within the State of Michigan processes for the Michigan Security Accreditation Program (MiSAP).

Review and respond to control assessments from the cybersecurity compliance framework NIST 800-53 Rev5 regarding the MiLogin platform infrastructure, services, and security processes.

Campus Network Design

Designed a network for a fictional school campus.

Researched hardware, software, and protocol solutions for wireless connectivity.

Wrote technical report regarding use of EAP-TTLS and a RADIUS server for authentication.

Kiosk Security

Chose a kiosk software and tried to secure it from another team of students trying to break in.

Adding a BIOS password and disallowing foreign external drives were two big takeaways.

Configured firewall settings and website whitelist configurations.
